Yoiu don't have to be the 'technical contact' to do this.  That is
just a somewhat
traditional and in some cases superfluous role separation.  Just as long as the
domain is not locked ( in the case of OpenSRS the Reseller can change this
status ), and you have administrative access,  the changes will work.
