The copy/duplicate behavior was a serious annoyance in the version of dia that
currently ships with ubuntu.  I downloaded the source to see how difficult it
would be to fix it, and was pleasantly surprised to see the behavior is exactly
what I wanted in the 0.97 version.

So thanks to whomever did that.  It's really appreciated.
