Greetings!

I just got cablemodem service, and I'm having problems trying to get my
FreeBSD 4.x box online using dhclient.

I have two Windows 98 machines which can grab a lease just fine using
DHCP, so I'm not understanding why I'm having such a difficult time
getting dhclient set up on FreeBSD.

I've got two interfaces:
fxp0 and dc0.

dc0 is, ideally, my internal (private, RFC1918) network.
fxp0 is the interface I'd like to have grab a dhcp address.

When I run "dhclient fxp0", I get:

Listening on BPF/fxp0/[my mac addr]
Sending on BPF/fxp0/[my mac addr]
Sending on Socket/fallback

DHCPDISCOVER on fxp0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 (interval 5)
DHCPDISCOVER on fxp0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 (interval 11)
DHCPDISCOVER on fxp0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 (interval 13)
DHCPDISCOVER on fxp0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 (interval 13)
DHCPDISCOVER on fxp0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 (interval 10)
DHCPDISCOVER on fxp0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 (interval 9)
No DHCPOFFERS received.

No working leases in persistant datbase - sleeping.

This is version 3.0rc4.

Also note that sometimes, I'll get a message in my /var/adm/messages
file which is a kernel message, and says:
May 13 22:30:27 /kernel: rtinit: wrong ifa (0xc0b62a00) was (0xc0b62b80)

I have no /etc/dhclient.conf file. I'm not sure where else to go from
here. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

/Chris
