It may be necessary to emulate a Microsoft client. You would do this
by setting up an /etc/dhclient.conf file containing the following:
interface "ep0" {
send dhcp-client-identifier 1:00:a0:24:43:a5:44;
send host-name "slack";
}
It may also be that you need the roadrunner login client. I haven't
looked at what pumpd does - it's possible that it already supports
this. Phil Karn has a web site that talks about roadrunner - the URL
that popped up when I searched for it was http://www.seawood.org/rr/,
although this claims to be out of date. If you search for roadrunner
on Altavista, you'll find a number of other sites as well.
