The Win2k DHCP server can update DNS for "legacy clients" (ie. those
like NT that don't issue their own DNS updates). You could request that
your administrator enable this.

If you need to do DDNS yourself, you'll need to have your DHCP client
script issue an nsupdate command with suitable information. This will
require a bit of shell or Perl code to build the nsupdate command.

Note that if the DNS server is Win2k and it's set for secure updates,
then this won't work because nsupdate doesn't know how to do the GSS
secure update protocol used by Win2k.

If the server is from some other vendor and it's running secure with
TSIG updates, then you'll need to get a copy of the update key used for
the DHCP DNS zone to allow you to submit secure updates.
