An (apparently older version of the) font is available in the package \
                ttf-ancient-fonts, as:
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-ancient-scripts/Symbola605.ttf

The copyright file contains the (custom) license from the download page:

    License:

Fonts are free for any use; they may be opened, edited,
        modified, regenerated, packaged and redistributed.

There is a bug report about updating the package at \
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=684496

And another one about having an extra package for Symbola/Emoji:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=758444

Unfortunately the bug reports are not being reacted on by the maintainer(s) (CCed \
them).

Cheers,
Daniel.
