/var/log/Xorg.0.log is your best friend. What does it report as missing?

The April 30 Xorg upgrade from Sid redoes your xorg.conf file. It warns that
it might and did for me--zong the thing. Took out all the ModulePath entries.
Fun.

Luckily, it saves the previous one which can be dandily renamed back and X
once again starts up just fine.

How about giving us the usual apt choice of taking the new file (with the
backup!), looking at the differences and decide, or use the existing file
(and this is usually the default N)??
