Hey,
I tested another ethernet card with an RTL-8139 chipset, but with the
same result as my Davicom (tulip chipset):
> PCI device 'RealTek RTL8139C Fast Ethernet' was not assigned an IRQ.
For now I think this is not a fault of the card, but with Hurd/Mach or
my system.
Here some informations about my system:
CPU: Pentium 3 1 Ghz
Board: Asus CUV4X-M (via chipset)
HDD: HD0 160GB by Samsung (on this Hurd and Linux are installed)
HD1: 10GB (with Windows)
RAM: 640MB
Ethernet card: Now a RealTek, before a Davicom (more you can read in the
attached logs)
> apt-cache give me a more readable version-string:
> Version: 1:20040915.dfsg.1-1

> GNU debian 0.3 GNU-Mach 1.3/Hurd-0.3 i686-AT386 GNU
This is the same.
What is the problem? A problem of my hardware or by Hurd/GNU Mach. Some
months ago I had some little hardware problems/Linux Kernel problems,
now they have been gone. At the moment Linux/*BSD/Windows do not have
any problems.
How can I solve the problem?
TIA Pierre
