List: debian-devel

After reading the list in regards to the Desktop
Subproject, it seems that we're not doing much
other than expressing our opinions.

Opinions don't fix anything. Opinions don't
enlighten anyone.

The option is to gather facts. Nobody seems to
want to gather any facts about how to make the
users experience any better.

Again, Usability techniques are precisely what's
called for. Look at some of the information I've
posted before located at
http://www.geocities.com/robert_maria/introduction.html
It provides a framework that can be used to
gather the facts about how users interact with
the desktop.

Without gathering facts and discussing facts,
then there will be no meaningful progress on
this.
