     Hi Patrick,

I've never used DBD-ODBC on Linux, but I can tell you that the syntax
     for DBI_DSN is:

     dbi:ODBC:my_datasource_name

where my_datasource_name is the name of your datasource.

     Nick

Hi,

Has anyone used DBD:ODBC on Linux.

I have compiled DBI 0.90

I have compiled iodbc, give me a iodbc-2.12.so

I have compiled DBD::ODBC
I must do a mv iodbc-2.12.so /usr/local/odbc/lib/libodbc.so and hack the
Makefile.pl

I have done

  setenv OBDCHOME /usr/local/odbc/lib/
  setenv DBI_USER james
  setenv DBI_PASS 007
  setenv DBI_DSN foo.uva.es

perl Makefile.PL give me a
Note (probably harmless): No library found for -lodbc
(but I don t have this librairy since I have not compiled DBD:ODBC yet)

 Warning: DBI_DSN (foo.uva.es) doesn't start with 'dbi:ODBC:'

make test fail at the first test

The Database I am trying to connect is an Oracle one on Solaris

What is the syntax for DBI_DSN

                                        Thanks

                                                Patrick
