There is currently no support in RFC 2518 for this kind of capability. HTTP
is a stateless protocol (i.e., there is no application state associated with
the TCP/IP connection), and what you are suggesting would require some
connection state.

A specific client could implement this capability easily, by requiring the
entry of properties before it ever submits the PUT command to write the
resource.
