I haven't yet finished the new conversion, so the repo which is publicly
available is still the old mirror (which is somewhat broken).  It'll
probably take another week for the conversion to finish running... and
that's assuming that I don't find any bugs that cause me to have to restart
it.  It seems to be converting about 2.5k patches per day, but that could
slow down for big patches.

Quite likely it's just doing what it says--running out of memory.  Did you
watch the darcs memory usage as this ran?
