Bringing up CVS from oooh, nine months ago (?)  just plain _reaks_ of guilt.

Most people aren't really mad at Dave because, unlike yourself, he's
not on some crazy "Internet Superhero" ego trip and has the decency to
recognise simple commerce when he's taking part in it.
