>From the xc-4-binaries directory you can download
XWin-Win9x-Me.tar.bz2 

First rename the /usr/X11R6/bin/Xwin.exe to XWin.exe-orig
then extract XWin-Win9x-Me.tar.bz2 and copy the XWin.exe to /usr/X11R6/bin.

Let me know if that helps on Win2K.

For the laptop try editing startxwin.bat
and use startxwin -screen 0 640x480x16
