This seems weird. The function RAND_status() was introduced in OpenSSL
0.9.5a, and it doesn't exist in previous versions.

If you wanna do ssl (https) stuff it is. Since you got the curl-ssl RPM, you
can't go with not using ssl, then you'd need to get the curl RPM without ssl
enabled.
