Subject: [REDUX]: Problems making esound package

Thanks to everybody for their help. Installing the audiofile package
was the solution. esound builds OK, nautilus builds OK. Even better,
"prt-get depinst --install-scripts control-center gdm gnome-applets"
builds OK. That's it for the GNOME base packages.
KDE is next on my list of things to do, again for the applications
not the desktop. The only other thing I can think of that might cause
problems is the internal USR PCI modem. It's a real modem and I had it
running on Redhat 6.2 and 7.x. But I never could get it to work under
Debian.
