"Me too" :-( My software configuration is basically the same as yours, although I'm running on an Abit BP6 (the fake-SMP Mobo for Celerons) and a TNT2 based card. On startx, my machine will hang completely or even power itself down. So far I've blamed my problems on the nVidia driver and my old (and possibly broken and e-shocked) hardware. The interesintg thing is: the same configuration (just with older software) was once running flawlessly (once I had gotten the AGP settings right). No further insight, but perhaps a help in tracking the problem - -- With best regards, Florian Weber PGP key ID: 3C4E74DC -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+Ue37m8fasDxOdNwRAn95AKCh2GLnukgkU+0dI1/uhY6tw2MWEwCg1QLD zf+pL2neJbWHaYhfr1B89oI= =0W8f -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
