Finally after all this the error was one little
whitespace character in:

rm -rf $PKG/usr/man/man1/{psed.1perl, pstruct.1perl}

it should have been:

rm -rf $PKG/usr/man/man1/{psed.1perl, pstruct.1perl}

Just think I spent 2 days spinning wheels on this. I
bet I won't forget this lesson learned.

This port is based off of the Perl 5.6 port in
/usr/ports/base.
