hello,
I have an idea for an added function of pkgmk but unfortuanatly my programming \
knowledge is limited so i cant do it myself:) heres the situation...theres alot of \
software i compile from source. many times the software im compiling either has too \
many dependencies or its just something im installing for testing purposes....either \
way, its too time consuming to make a Pkgfile for each of them, so i use a script \
called make_uninstall (available on freshmeat.net) that uses installwatch to track \
the files created by the "make install" command and add it to its own package \
management database for easy removal or upgrading. the inconvience that results from \
this is having 2 package databases to keep track of...one for crux and one for \
make_uninstall. I think it would be very useful if someone were to modify pkgmk so \
that it can monitor the files being created by a command such as make install and add \
the results to the crux package database. what does everyone else think about t! his?

james
