This is one of those things where it doesn't accomplish anything to reinvent  
the wheel.

There are many web-based mailing list archivers, with sophisticated  
archiving and searching features. They do a reasonable job, and can adapt  
themselves to any mailing list. There's nothing to be accomplished by  
reinventing this wheel here.
