I have encountered behavior with ls -R that appears to be incongruous. My a=
ctual command line entry is: ls -alR /kyc_mis/dev/*/*/paul/* > pauldev.lst.=
The output file contains all the files and directories expected. However, =
the first directory has the entries listed with the path shown before the f=
ile name:

-rwxrwx--- 1 pb82477 kycmis 784 Nov 21 12:25 /kyc_mis/dev/macros/pau=
l/standard_puts_dev.sh
-rwxrwx--- 1 pb82477 kycmis 5041 Nov 26 09:48 /kyc_mis/dev/macros/pau=
l/standardized_puts.sas
-rw-rw---- 1 pb82477 kycmis 70072 Nov 21 12:32 /kyc_mis/dev/macros/pau=
l/standardized_puts_20181121.log
-rwxrwx--- 1 pb82477 kycmis 10432 Jan 3 13:12 /kyc_mis/dev/macros/pau=
l/standardized_parameters.sas
-rwxrwx--- 1 pb82477 kycmis 17091 Nov 21 12:37 /kyc_mis/dev/macros/pau=
l/standardized_macros.sas

That format is exactly what I have been trying to find with no success up t=
o this point. My issue is that all the subsequent directory listings do not=
 continue that format.

This may not be a bug, but it doesn't seem to be correct. Perhaps I am miss=
ing something?
