I purchase a lot of refurbished items. Mainly monitors and printers with
1-3 year warrantee.  If the discount is not 50%, I question the wisdom of
the buy.

I am very uncomfortable buying with items that are fragile and come with a
short warrantee.(eg laptops and pdas).
