There's a PPC Debian, by the way, that runs natively - Linux screams on 
PPC hardware.  I dual boot my Powerbook with Sid, with Gnome 2.4, and 
it's fast as hell.

bf24 should be able to see it, no idea why you're no go.  I didn't 
install on this via the debian installer, though.
