I could be wrong here but...

	Check your /etc/ld.so.conf file. I'm thinking it does not
contain the path to mysql. Therefore the mysql library your other
gizmo needs does not 'officially' exist.

	I've never installed mysql via an rpm so I'm not sure where
it ends up - you'll have to check. But adding the path to mysql (it
will probably be something like /usr/local/mysql - typing locate
mysql at the prompt ought to get you pointed in the right direction)
to your ld.so.conf file, if it's not already there, will most
certainly break your warranty while fixing your problem. You'll need
to run /sbin/ldconf after adding mysql's path to the /etc/ld.so.conf
file in order to get the system to recognize the change.
