Johnnesper,

It appears as if the binaries for netatalk1.4b2 are on the RaQ (at least on
my November  '98 issue RaQ). You can try this link to see if it helps:

O'Reilly is also releasing a book called Using Samba in July of this year
(planned) and it could be that it will address some of these issues as well.
