When I wrote sysvinit and started to implement killall, I found out
that most if not all Linux distributions already shipped with a
'killall' program that did something else than the 'killall' command
on any other Unix (well sysv) machine .. sigh.

'killall' really should have been called 'pkill' or somesuch.

Anyway, Linux does have a Solaris killall, only it's called killall5.
So read killall5(8) and you'll know what Solaris killall does.
