What is the result of "cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward"?

If 0, then either "echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward" or (if you
run RedHat) change /etc/sysconfig/network to contain "FORWARD_IPV4=true".
