Never mind,

Turns out the version of the kernel-sources was slightly newer than the
kernel itself. Version 2.4.9-12 was patched, but maintained the same
number. The kernel-source had that patch, the kernel not. That is enough
to have unresolved symbols. Fragile stuff.

Note to self: do an 'up2date -l' before compiling CIPE the next time.

Has anybody else installed kernel 2.4.9-12, delivered by RedHat's
up2date? I get 'Unresolved symbols' when running 'insmod cipcb.o' or
when doing a 'depmod -a'.
This is the first time I get these errors. Previous kernel-upgrades went
smoothly (well... nevermind). Going back to 2.4.9-6 solves the problem.

Here is the full list. They look like very basic functions. I can't
imagine why they're missing.
