This is pretty much the same situation I've run into, and pretty much
the same solution. I'm not using the plugin, I just have the methods in
my base class (I _always_ do validation if there's input, so why not?)
The thought of using msg hadn't occured to me, because, (like you) I
prefer to leave the exact message to the designer, so I just set flags
in a hash as Cees did.
