I'm hoping someone here can help me with this.

$var = "DataDataData#ID"
What I need to do is take the value of $var and
read it from right to left up to the first # character.
Chop it there and create a new variable something like:
$temp = "*#ID"

Any help would be appreciated.
Also, if $other_var ="DataDataData#ID"
Would it match $temp (assuming the actual ID's match)?

Regards,
J.Michael Mason
