Hey all,

My name is Dimitris Mouris and I am working with Christopher Patton, Hannah
Davis, Pratik Sarkar, and Nektarios Tsoutsos on a new VDAF called Mastic.
We recently published the draft on datatracker
<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-mouris-cfrg-mastic>.

Mastic is a similar construction to Poplar1
<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-irtf-cfrg-vdaf-07#name-poplar1> in
that it relies on Distributed Point Functions, but can achieve
significantly more elaborate statistics than Poplar1, similarly to Prio3
<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-irtf-cfrg-vdaf-07#section-7>
(e.g.,
histograms, sums, heavy hitters, aggregations by labels, range checks,
etc).

We'll also have a short presentation on Mastic in the next CFRG meeting in
IETF 118 to describe the high-level idea of this VDAF and share some
preliminary experiments we have.
