Quick reminder: the 2017 Next Generation Cassandra Conference has been
scheduled for September 26 in San Antonio.

This conference is intended for developers, power users, and people
generally informed and interested in the future of the database to discuss
things face to face.

If you're a committer, you're definitely in the intended audience (and I
hope you attend).
If you've been using Cassandra a long time, and want to add a feature for
your use case (maybe you know how to do it and aren't sure if it'll be
accepted, maybe you don't know how to do it and want to chat about the
'right' way), this is the place to talk about it.
If you've been using Cassandra, and you have strong opinions on what's
right or wrong with the database (perhaps you would like to make a
passionate plea for or against some planned feature), this is the place to
make that plea - big, small, features, limitations, it's all on the table.

This conference is not organized by any particular company or organization
(though the associated costs are being picked up by Instaclustr - thanks
Instaclustr!), and all technical viewpoints are welcome - you don't need to
be employed by a certain company, or run a specific number of instances, or
have a certain number of commits in the codebase to be welcome, but you
should be an advanced user, able to talk intelligently about the state of
the database. This is NOT a general user summit to talk about developing
applications using Cassandra, it's focused on development of Cassandra
itself.

A few dozen folks are already signed up, which means there's still some
room:

You can sign up here (it's free):

Organization, which has neither endorsed nor organized this event
