Welp, we installed linuxconf to Calamities freshly installed machine and
I paid more attention to it's workings this time.

Item 1
It doesn't know what kind of distro I'm running. Ah... it never occured
to me that an upload to Caldera's site wouldn't recognize a Caldera
distro, so I ran the script, noticed it didn't know where it was and
with whom. It should be removed from Caldera's site until it sees a
Caldera installation in order to roost on Caldera's site.

Item 2
I ran the uninstall script and it claims it can't, since it doesn't
recognize Caldera, which was freshly installed, free of misc hand edits.
Prognosis: Not fully baked as of yet, but getting there.

Item 3
David is 100% on the mark. Although I want automation, I want to be able
to open another shell and tweak stuff too. One reason I dispise lisa is
that it destroys manual changes. Win3.1 would let you use systool (which
most users never knew existed) to edit the .ini files directly without a
burp-in-the-barrel. Linuxconf appears to be seeing what Lisa sees, which
ain't completely true on my server machine.

Item 4
Praise God that people exist like Jacques, who are trying to make a
difference for the Linux world. Linuxconf needs some more work and to
incorporate all of these helpful critisisms and remarks. He's on the
right track, but it's sure not Caldera specific, as of yet, so it's a
non-Caldera tool and not Caldera friendly enough to recomend.

Item 5
"I'm just a farmer..." -Max Yasgar
I'm not a hotdog programmer, just a user. If I've misunderstood
something about Linuxconf, it wasn't plain or apparent enough for me to
grok. I do understand it looks like a pile of work. Thanks for your
efforts so far. ric
