One problem is that pixman is also on the other side of the X Render
protocol wire. And there, the 16.16 fixed-point format is fixed in the
specification of Render transformations. So these issues might be
harder to fix for the xlib backend, (everyone ready to add a bunch of
new Render requests to fix problems?).
