Trying to rephrase my question about "poller_reindex_hosts.php"; here
are 4 questions.

1. What functionality does the poller_reindex_hosts.php script provide
(what all can it detect (in the context of interfaces.xml))  


2. Is there a way to replicate this functionality via the GUI?


3. What actions does it take if it detects changes to the interfaces of
the host? 


4. Are there any possible problems that can result from running this
script on a weekly basis for all hosts?

Could someone go into detail as to what happens when the
poller_reindex_hosts.php script is ran. 

Along with if running it daily is enough to handle the problem of daily
index changes to the interfaces table on various hosts.
