Hi,

Has any one tried creating a swap file and enabled it using swap on?

I am following the below steps:

1. dd if=/dev/zero of=swapfile01 bs=1024 count=16384 2>&1 >tmpfile

2. mkswap -c -v1 swapfile01
Setting up swapspace version 1, size = 16773120 bytes

3. swapon swapfile01
swapon: swapfile has holes
swapon: swapfile1: Invalid argument

Why does it complaint that the swapfile has holes? Is there a bug opened in
the present version of swapon binary of dd binary?
