Any way to get it to do \r instead of \n so it could just repaint the same 
line over and over?  (Might be a fun thing to have on one's desktop then...)

I threw it into my "pending" folder.  Remind me about it next week.  Right now 
I'm putting together 1.2.0 for release this evening.
