OK, I will have a look tomorrow evening. After a quick look at the source,
it should in fact be quite easy (not trivial, just easy) to implement such a
pattern matching with your 512-byte limit (Mind you that I might take it as
a personnal challenge to try the 512-bit limit! ;-) )
I'll do it before I try to shoe-horn linked lists into modprobe, because it
makes no sense to do so until the doubly-linked lists are available...
