in any event, i think the people have spoken and want to retain swap
V0 support, which is fine.  the only point i want to close on is that
there are two reasons to retain support for a feature:

1) it actually has value, or
2) it's not hurting anything so just leave it be

i just don't want people making arguments where they're confusing
those two.
