Subject: [BusyBox] Partition is read only!

Hi forks:
I am a newer in busybox.I compiled busybox-1.0.0pre3 successfully in RedHat9,and I \
installed it on a partition(mounted as /mnt/embdlinux) on my harddisk,copy the etc \
directory from the busybox/example directory to embdlinux partition. Then , added the \
/dev dir(from RedHat9),compiled a kernel(2.5.8)and modified the lilo.conf... As a \
result,I can boot the kernel, and the busybox works correctly! But when I create a \
new file or modify a existing file the(using vi) it will display the message: the \
partition is read-only,cant write..:-( Who could give me some hint about my process? \
