An lspci utility itself would be fairly simple.  But it needs to
have a pci.ids file to operate properly, and the current one,
which is available from
    http://pciids.sourceforge.net/pci.ids.bz2
is about 200k...  So on systems I've built, thus far I've simply
used pciutils-2.1.10.tar.gz and the latest pci.ids file...
