Hmm.  There have been a few patches to insmod made in the last 
few days.  Could you grab the latest from CVS and try again?
If it doesn't work, could you perhaps get an strace or provide
some other debugging info?

Does your target PowerPC system use ELF binaries, or some other
binary format?
