I still seem to have a split personality. When I want heavy-duty I/O and
multiprocessor performance I use Solaris (mainly for database, file servers,
and of course any application designed to take advantage of kernel threads. When
I want very responsive and reliable network-based services (i.e. pop, smtp,
dns, virtual-web servers, etc. ) I use BSDI.

The companies I have worked for in the past have often wondered why I continue
to design with 2 operating systems I tell them because for network
applications, BSD is better :) *** (See Note) (obligatory "God Save BSDI!"
chant here)

Note:
*** (except for NFSv3 that is..NFSv3 w/locking has always been an issue.)
