well that's what i get for making brad pitt a contributor.  that's the last
time i'll choose him from a dropdown! someone else must've deleted him.  ah,
this is really good practice for the real world.  thanks for figuring it
out.  i can chuck the article now.  and i'll document it in our local
bugzilla for future reference.

I've got it repeatable now.  Check out Bug 141.  It's the result of
deleting a Contributor that's being used by a Story.  Or, at least,
that's
one way of recreating the error.
