2.95 is an ancient compiler that does not support very much advanced
standard C++.  Upgrade to 3.4 or 4.40.  Using GCC 2.95 is the
equivalent of using Windows 98 (it's about the same age).  Don't
expect things to work.

I thought FreeBSD upgraded already...
