We thought we can preserve backward compatibility by not taking over 
the current mode module param, but rather come up with two new 
params. We still need to think of better names for them, but the 
first one would mean "teaming mode" while the other one would mean 
"transmit policy". This way, if some one wants to keep using, lets 
say, mode=4, that would be interpreted by the modules as:
"teaming mode"="dynamic link aggregation", "policy"="XOR-MAC", and 
everything else would stay the same. This would be a seemless change 
for users wanting to keep what exists, while letting others play with 
their configuration until they get exactly what they want.

Actually, we're not thinking of tying the two together since the hot 
ops is well on its way while this new thing is just being defined.
