El Torito is not that scary, since affectively it is a bootdisk on a
CD-ROM.  It's merely the way you need to approach the CD-ROM which might
need some major work.

Since I'm working on coding a bootloader thing anyway and reading the
specs on El Torito as well, I'll see if I can free some time to look at
it.

What does the BIOS support?  That's a major thing as well.
