When BI IS NOT running I get a slah line thru the BI Shield in my
Startup Tray. I also cannot find any BI TSR's running with Task
Manager.

This is not the case. BI is running full bore.

When I highlight this event, 0.0.0.0, and click advICE the NI web site
has nothing regarding this event. I cannot find ANY documentation
anywhere regarding this event either online or in the manual.

I have emailed NI support and they have stated the same thing as you
have stated, but cannot show ANY documentation backing their claim.

I would be nice to SEE an example to put my mind and $30.00 to rest!

The very last thing anyone should program into a firewall, that is not
running, is showing not running with an intrusion!!!

Some "snake oil" going on here and I'll get my $30.00 in Tech Support
time b4 going to Norton.

BTW do a scan in this message group of "0.0.0.0" everyone seems to
think the "code red" worm is responsible.

Pete
