another utility i sometimes use to see if BID is still doing it's thing (after 
i've been messing with the .ini-files or something) is PortDetective, you 
might try that one .... (www.portdetective.com)
you have to download a small program that you tell which ports to scan, it 
then contacts their host and then your specified ports are scanned ...
