Several weeks ago there was some discussion about how to block a range of ip
addresses.
I copied the instructions examples to the firewall.ini file and replaced the
examples ranges with my own.
I started Black Ice and was able to view the range set in the graphical
interface of black ice.
When I rebooted the range was no longer present in the graphical interface. I
opened up the firewall.ini file and it had been removed.
I am using the newest version (I think it is cp). Is there something that I
am forgetting to do like set the ini file to read only?
The other problem that I am having that was never answered to my satisfaction
was this.
When I set black ice to do logging it creates files for these logs. When I
run Norton Antivirus on these files it always shows that the file is infected
with code red.
Is this because the packet information that is saved contains the virus
signature?
When I talked to black ice about this problem they told me to uninstall and
reinstall the program.
Well, after I went thru all of that I am still having the same problem.
Any Ideas on this?
Any one notice a higher level of sans lately?
